Use this dialog box to configure the indexing for the search areas. The DataFinder indexes the search areas to accelerate the data search.
|Automatic indexing triggered by||Specifies how to automatically index the data from the search areas.|
|...||Opens the dialog box in which you specify the type of automatic indexing.|
|Idle time before indexing (in s)||Specifies how many seconds the DataFinder waits after the last mouse movement or key input before indexing starts.|
|Timeout per file
|Specifies the time in seconds after which the DataFinder stops indexing a file. This does not apply to TDM files.|
|Recurrence||Specifies the intervals at which the DataFinder reindexes the search areas.|
|Start time||Specifies the time when the DataFinder indexes the search areas for the first time.|
|Weekday||Specifies the weekday on which the DataFinder executes indexing, if you select Weekly for Repeat indexing.|
|Start Now||Starts indexing when you click OK.|
|Number of parallel indexers||Specifies the number of indexers which index the data in the search areas parallel. You cannot change the number of indexers for the My DataFinder DataFinder.
|Import||Opens the dialog box where you load a DataFinder configuration (*.dfc).|
|Export||Opens the dialog box where you save the My DataFinder current configuration settings.|
|Note If the computer is shut down when a scheduled indexing is due, the DataFinder runs the indexing at the subsequent specified interval. If you shut down the computer during the indexing process, the DataFinder continues indexing the next time the DataFinder launches.|
If a file is created or changed while the DataFinder is not active or a necessary network connection is interrupted, the file is indexed at the next scheduled time.
|Note The first indexing of the search areas can take some time.|
|Note To open this dialog box in DIAdem NAVIGATOR, select Settings»My DataFinder»Configure»Indexer.|
