Use this dialog box to specify whether and how DIAdem displays several curves in the name-oriented mode, if several data channels have the same name. In the curve expansion mode you can use the same channel names in different groups or use channel names that contain wildcards.

From DIAdem 2014 onwards, DIAdem includes the group references of the channels in the curve expansion mode and in the expansion mode only displays channel pairs which belong to the same channel group.

If you use the curve expansion with the same channel names in different groups, specify two channel names as */ChannelX and */ChannelY. The */ characters represent any channel group. DIAdem searches for this channel pair in all groups. If one or both channels are not in a group, DIAdem skips this group.

If you use curve expansion with channel names that contain wildcards, specify the channel names as */Channel* or */Channel?. Use a question mark (?) as a wildcard for one character, and an asterisk (*) as a wildcard for any number of characters. In the groups DIAdem searches for channel names which match the wildcards. DIAdem can find several channel pairs in one group. DIAdem uses the order of the channels in the Data Portal.

Note DIAdem only includes the following settings for the Line display mode in 2D axis systems and for the Isolines and 3D curve display types in 3D axis systems.

Settings

The following settings are in the object-oriented script interface for DIAdem REPORT in the properties and methods of the Settings object.

Autoscaling according to norm series Specifies whether DIAdem sets the axis ticks in 2D or 3D axis systems according to standard progression, 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and so on, or according to the sequence 2, 2.5, 5, 10, and so on. When DIAdem scales the axes according to standard progression, the range from 0 to 100 is scaled as 20, 40, 60, 80 and 100, otherwise DIAdem scales the axis at 25, 50, 75 and 100.
Expand curves Specifies whether DIAdem displays several curves if several data channels have the same channel name.
Sort Specifies the order in which DIAdem expands channels in DIAdem REPORT.
Use properties list Specifies whether DIAdem uses the following settings for curve display. If you use the properties list, you cannot select a curve color in the Curve list and you cannot change the associated curve parameters, such as line style or line width. Instead DIAdem uses the following settings to display the curves groupwise.
Number of list entries Specifies the number of curve settings DIAdem uses in a curve display.
Group no. Displays the channel group to which the following settings refer. If you want to display channels from more channel groups than the number of list entries you defined, DIAdem begins with the curve display again at the beginning of the list.
Checkbox for color Specifies whether DIAdem uses the Color setting selected in this dialog box in expanding curves. If you do not enable this setting, DIAdem uses the setting from the curve dialog box.
Checkbox for line style Specifies whether DIAdem uses the Line style setting selected in this dialog box in expanding curves. If you do not enable this setting, DIAdem uses the setting from the curve dialog box.
Checkbox for line width Specifies whether DIAdem uses the Line width setting selected in this dialog box in expanding curves. If you do not enable this setting, DIAdem uses the setting from the curve dialog box.
Checkbox for interval Specifies whether DIAdem uses the Interval setting selected in this dialog box in expanding curves. If you do not enable this setting, DIAdem uses the setting from the curve dialog box.
Checkbox for marker style Specifies whether DIAdem uses the Marker style setting selected in this dialog box in expanding curves. If you do not enable this setting, DIAdem uses the setting from the curve dialog box.
Checkbox for marker properties Specifies whether DIAdem uses the Marker properties setting selected in this dialog box in expanding curves. If you do not enable this setting, DIAdem uses the setting from the curve dialog box.
Color Specifies the line color.
Line style Specifies the line style.
Line width Specifies the line width.
Interval Specifies the line interval.
Marker style Specifies the marker type.
... Opens the dialog box where you specify the marker properties.
Note  To open this dialog box in the DIAdem REPORT panel, select Settings»Layout Setup»Layout Parameters»Display.
