Use the script interface in DIAdem NAVIGATOR to search for data with a script. For example, to create a script that starts the DataFinder My DataFinder without using the DIAdem NAVIGATOR interface, complete the following steps. The example loads the search parameters from the file MyQuery.tdq and starts the search. If the search was successful, the example loads the first element of the search results into the Data Portal.

  1. Select the DIAdem SCRIPT panel.

  2. Select File»New»VBS Script to create a new script.

  3. Enter or copy the following text into the script editor:

    Dim oMyQuery, oMyDataFinder, oMyResults
    Set oMyDataFinder = Navigator.ConnectDataFinder("My DataFinder")
If Not oMyDataFinder Is Nothing Then
      Set oMyQuery = oMyDataFinder.LoadQuery(ConfReadPath & "Query_Example.tdq")
      oMyDataFinder.Search(oMyQuery)
      Set oMyResults = oMyDataFinder.Results
        If(oMyResults.Count > 0) Then
          'Loading only the first result
          Navigator.LoadData(oMyResults(1))
      End If
    End If
  4.  Select Run Script to start the script.
