Note  In LabVIEW 2013, you no longer configure Web services via build specifications. You can continue to use this build specification, or you can convert the build specification to the new format. To download the conversion tool, visit the National Instruments website.

From the Project Explorer window, right-click a Web service specification name under Build Specifications and select Properties from the shortcut menu to display this dialog box, or you can double-click the Web service specification name. If you rebuild a given specification, LabVIEW overwrites the existing files from the previous build that are part of the current build.

Note  If you previously hid Build Specifications in the Project Explorer window, you must display the item again to access it.

The Web Service Properties dialog box includes the following pages, which you use to configure the settings for the build:

The bottom of the Web Service Properties dialog box includes the following buttons:

  • Build—Updates the LabVIEW project with the current build specification settings, closes the dialog box, and builds with the current settings. Clicking the Build button does not save the settings to disk. You must save the project in order to save the build specification settings. After you build a Web service, you must deploy the Web service to activate functionality.
  • OK—Updates the project with the current build specification settings and closes the dialog box without performing a build. Clicking OK does not save the settings to disk. You must save the project in order to save the build specification settings.
  • Cancel—Cancels the build specification settings you changed and closes the dialog box.
