Select Tools»Options to display the Options dialog box and select FPGA Module from the Category list to display this dialog box.

Use this dialog box to specify the location of the FPGA compile server and simulation options.

This dialog box includes the following components:

  • Compile Server—Sets options for the compile server.
    • Use the local compile server—Specifies that LabVIEW use the compilation tools installed on the local computer, called localhost.
    • Connect to a network compile server—Specifies that LabVIEW use the compilation tools installed on another computer or that LabVIEW use localhost when authentication is required.
      • Compile server name—Displays the name or IP address of the computer running the compile server.
      • User name—Displays the name of the account that you use to log into the compile server.
      • Configure—Displays the Configure Remote Compile Server dialog box.

    • Connect to LabVIEW FPGA Compile Cloud Service—Specifies that LabVIEW use the compilation tools available through the LabVIEW FPGA Compile Cloud Service.

      • User name—Displays the name of the account that you use to log into the LabVIEW FPGA Compile Cloud Service.

      • Configure—Displays the Configure Cloud Service dialog box.

    • Prompt to select a compile server for each compilation—Specifies whether LabVIEW prompts you to select a compile server for each compilation.

  • Notification of Completed Compilation—Sets options for how LabVIEW notifies you of completed compilations.

    • Display a message in the system tray—Specifies whether LabVIEW displays a message in the system tray upon completing a compilation. LabVIEW places a checkmark in the Display a message in the system tray checkbox by default.

    • Play a sound—Specifies whether LabVIEW plays a sound upon completing a compilation. Click the Browse button to specify the notification audio file that LabVIEW plays.

    • Display a popup message—Specifies whether LabVIEW displays a popup message upon completing a compilation.

  • Simulation—Sets the simulator you want to use.
    • Simulator—Specifies the simulator you want to use.
