Right-click a Run Statechart function and select Configure from the shortcut menu to display this dialog box. You also can double-click a Run Statechart function to display this dialog box.

Use this dialog box to configure inputs and outputs of the Run Statechart function.

This dialog box includes the following components:

  • Statechart Instance Name—Specifies the instance of the statechart you want to run. This component is available only for asynchronous statecharts.
  • Use Terminal?—Specifies whether you specify the statechart instance name using the Statechart Instance Name field in the Configure Statechart Run Node dialog box or using the Instance Name input of the Run Statechart function. This component is available only for asynchronous statecharts.
  • Show Terminal?—Specifies whether to display the Active States output of the Run Statechart function, with which you can display the currently active states of the statechart on the front panel.
  • Statechart Diagram Display—Specifies the number of statechart diagrams you want to display on the front panel. This option is available only if you place a checkmark in the corresponding Show Terminal? checkbox. You can select from the following options:
    • Display one diagram—(Default) Displays one statechart diagram on the front panel. When you select this option, LabVIEW adds a Diagram Display Index input and a Diagram Display output to the Run Statechart function. Use the Diagram Display Index to specify the statechart diagram you want to display in the Diagram Display output. The default value is 0, which specifies to display the top-level statechart diagram. Other values specify to display subdiagrams of the top-level statechart diagram.
    • Display diagrams—Displays multiple statechart diagrams on the front panel. When you select this option, LabVIEW adds a Diagram Display Index Array input and a Diagram Display Array output to the Run Statechart function. Use the Diagram Display Index Array to specify the statechart diagrams you want to display in the Diagram Display Array output.
    • Display all diagrams—Displays all statechart diagrams on the front panel. When you select this option, LabVIEW adds a Diagram Display Array output to the Run Statechart function. The Diagram Display Array output displays the top-level statechart diagram and all subdiagrams of the top-level statechart diagram on the front panel.
  • Show Terminal?—Specifies whether to display input and output terminals for the Run Statechart function with which you can specify the statechart diagrams to display on the front panel. The inputs and outputs that LabVIEW adds to the Run Statechart function when you place a checkmark in the Show Terminal? checkbox depend on the option you select from the Statechart Diagram Display pull-down menu.
