Owning Palette: Time Frequency Analysis VIs
Requires: Advanced Signal Processing Toolkit. This topic might not match its corresponding palette in LabVIEW depending on your operating system, licensed product(s), and target.
Use the Feature Extraction VIs to extract useful information from the quadratic time-frequency representation of signals.
The VIs on this palette can return general LabVIEW error codes or specific Time Frequency Analysis error codes.
Palette Object | Description |

TFA Fast Mean Instantaneous Frequency | Uses the Gabor expansion-based method to compute the mean instantaneous frequency (MIF) for signal. Wire data to the signal input to determine the polymorphic instance to use or manually select the instance. |
TFA Group Delay | Computes the group delay of a signal from the spectrogram of the signal. |
TFA Marginal Integration | Computes the marginal integration of a signal by integrating the spectrogram of the signal along the time axis or the frequency axis. |
TFA Mean Instantaneous Bandwidth | Computes the mean instantaneous bandwidth (MIB) of a signal from its spectrogram. The mean instantaneous bandwidth reveals how the frequency bandwidth of the signal changes over time. |
TFA Mean Instantaneous Frequency | Computes the mean instantaneous frequency (MIF) of a signal from its spectrogram. The MIF reveals how the central frequency of the signal changes over time. |
