Use the Feature Extraction VIs to extract useful information from the quadratic time-frequency representation of signals.

The VIs on this palette can return general LabVIEW error codes or specific Time Frequency Analysis error codes.

Palette ObjectDescription
TFA Fast Mean Instantaneous FrequencyUses the Gabor expansion-based method to compute the mean instantaneous frequency (MIF) for signal. Wire data to the signal input to determine the polymorphic instance to use or manually select the instance.
TFA Group DelayComputes the group delay of a signal from the spectrogram of the signal.
TFA Marginal IntegrationComputes the marginal integration of a signal by integrating the spectrogram of the signal along the time axis or the frequency axis.
TFA Mean Instantaneous BandwidthComputes the mean instantaneous bandwidth (MIB) of a signal from its spectrogram. The mean instantaneous bandwidth reveals how the frequency bandwidth of the signal changes over time.
TFA Mean Instantaneous FrequencyComputes the mean instantaneous frequency (MIF) of a signal from its spectrogram. The MIF reveals how the central frequency of the signal changes over time.
