You configure a system definition file in the System Explorer window by adding, removing, and modifying options in the configuration tree, located on the left of the System Explorer window. You can configure a system definition file in the following ways:
If you delete a node in the System Explorer configuration tree that other nodes reference, you must repair all references to the node and its children. For example, consider a calculated channel that produces values based on the value of another channel. If you delete the other channel, you must fix the reference for the calculated channel.
