The following documents contain information that you might find helpful as you use NI VeriStand:

  • NI VeriStand .NET API Help—This standalone help file, which you can access from the Windows Start menu, documents several of the .NET APIs that are included with NI VeriStand. You can use these APIs to programmatically control various software operations from any .NET-compatible programming language or environment, including NI LabVIEW and NI TestStand.
  • NI VeriStand Model Framework Introduction—This guide describes how to use the NI VeriStand Model Framework to compile your existing C and C++ model code so you can load your models in NI VeriStand. You can access this guide from the X:\VeriStand\xxxx\ModelInterface\custom directory, where X is the drive where NI software installs and xxxx is the NI VeriStand version number.
    Note Note  If you did not install the NI VeriStand Model Framework when you installed NI VeriStand, run the NI VeriStand installer again and select NI VeriStand xxxx Model Framework, where xxxx is the NI VeriStand version number, from the list of features to install. You do not need to reinstall NI VeriStand to install the NI VeriStand Model Framework.
  • NI VeriStand Readme—This document provides system requirements, installation instructions, and late-breaking information about the version of NI VeriStand that you are installing. The readme.html file is located in the VeriStand directory.
  • LabVIEW Help—This help file contains information about LabVIEW palettes, menus, tools, VIs, and functions. This help file also includes step-by-step instructions for using LabVIEW features. This help file also includes the following documentation when you install the associated software:
    • The LabVIEW Real-Time Module documentation.
    • The LabVIEW FPGA Module documentation.
  • LabWindows/CVI Help
  • NI-DAQmx Help
  • NI-XNET Hardware and Software Help
  • The documentation for any hardware devices you want to use with a project.
  • The MathWorks, Inc. Simulink® software documentation.
  • The MathWorks, Inc. MATLAB® software documentation.
  • The MathWorks, Inc. Simulink Coder® software documentation.
