Parent Topic: Relationship between Channels, Measurement Types, Features, and Spectral Bands
On the Data Viewer page, users load trends of features and spectral bands assigned to a sensor. In the NI InsightCM web application, you define which features and spectral bands are available by first creating a default set of features and spectral bands for NI InsightCM Server to automatically assign to each sensor. This default set is referred to as a feature set. You also can manually assign additional features and spectral bands that are not part of a feature set to a sensor.
Complete the following steps to review the predefined feature sets in the NI InsightCM web application and make any changes at the system or asset level.

Note If this tab does not contain any default features, the NI InsightCM web application does not contain a feature set for that particular sensor and measurement type. Only sensors on dynamic modules, such as the NI 9232, whose type is accelerometer, velocity, displacement, or tachometer have built-in feature sets, but you can create a new feature set for other types. |
If you add an additional feature or spectral band to a sensor, you can highlight it in the feature list and click the Toggle Default button to add that feature to the feature set.
