Location:In the navigation bar at the top of the page, click Configuration to navigate to the Asset Configuration page and select an asset in the tree to the left.
This tab is available only on assets that support the operating states capability in their definition.
This tab allows you to configure how an asset collects files and trends under a specific set of conditions.
Task | Action |

Add an operating state. | Click the Add button ![]() |
Set the amount of data to collect in each file while the operating state is active. | Complete the options in the Data Set Collection Settings section. |
Specify whether the device collects a file when the asset enters or exits the operating state. | Complete the options in the Enter/Exit Settings section. |
Group all files that are collected when the operating state is active into a stream. | Place a checkmark in the Group files when this state is active checkbox in the Streaming Settings section. |
Set the conditions that cause the mapped device to collect a file on the asset when the operating state is active. | Complete the options in the Data Set Collection Conditions section. |
Set the conditions that define when the asset enters the operating state. | Complete the options in the Enter Conditions section. |
Set the conditions that define when the asset exits the operating state. | Complete the options in the Exit Conditions section. |
