TDM Server is a Big Analog Data™ solution for automated preparation and analysis of large amounts of data in various formats and structures from different geographic locations. TDM Server combines various server components for the automated management of these data volumes and consists of Data Preprocessor, DataFinder, Analysis Server and the Federation, which combines several DataFinder servers. These components process data in the background of a server. Configure the server components over a web interface.

The DataFinder is a central element of the TDM Server. The two other components of the TDM Server, Data Preprocessor and Analysis Server, process data and analyze data. The DataFinder indexes the data the Data Preprocessor unified. The Analysis Server uses the data indexed by a DataFinder in order to browse this data and to analyze the data mathematically. Apart from the Analysis Server, other clients, such as DIAdem or LabVIEW, communicate with the DataFinder in order to search the indexed data and to load the search results.

Data is processed in the Data Preprocessor. The Data Preprocessor harmonizes identifiers, values, and units of the raw data so that it is easier for the Analysis Server to analysis this data. In addition the Data Preprocessor can calculate characteristic statistical values, and verify and validate the data. The Data Preprocessor reacts to file changes in the raw data areas or starts at a specified time. Define and test the process chain in the Data Preprocessor in DIAdem.

The Analysis Server uses the analyses defined and tested in DIAdem for the data indexed by the DataFinder and creates reports and new data in the process. You can configure an Analysis Server in such a way that an analysis starts automatically as soon as the DataFinder finds a new or changed file. You can start the analyses manually or define a schedule according to which the Analysis Server executes the analyses regularly. This way, you can, for example, compare the data of a test stand and create reports.

You can also cascade the chain Data Preprocessor » DataFinder » Analysis Server. For example, a DataFinder can index the results of an analysis so that this data can serve as input data for further analyses.
