Owning Class: matrix
Requires: MathScript RT Module
c = hilbertmx(n)
Generates a square Hilbert matrix whose (i, j)-th element is equal to 1/(i+j-1), where i is the row index number and j is the column index number. The Hilbert matrix is a famous example of a poorly conditioned matrix.
|n||Specifies the size of the Hilbert matrix. n is a positive scalar integer.|
|c||Returns the Hilbert matrix of size n. c is a real, symmetric matrix.|
The following table lists the support characteristics of this function.
|Supported in the LabVIEW Run-Time Engine||Yes|
|Supported on RT targets||Yes|
|Suitable for bounded execution times on RT||Not characterized|
% Generate a 3-by-3 Hilbert matrix:
C = hilbertmx(3)
% Check the condition number of a large Hilbert matrix:
D = cond(hilbertmx(20))
