Owning Class: plots

Requires: MathScript RT Module

Syntax

plotyy(x1, y1, x2, y2)

plotyy(x1, y1, x2, y2, type)

plotyy(x1, y1, x2, y2, type1, type2)

[obj1, obj2, obj3] = plotyy(x1, y1, x2, y2)

[obj1, obj2, obj3] = plotyy(x1, y1, x2, y2, type)

[obj1, obj2, obj3] = plotyy(x1, y1, x2, y2, type1, type2)

Description

Generates a plot with both left and right y-axes. plotyy(x1, y1, x2, y2) plots y1 against x1 with the left y-axis and y2 against x2 with the right y-axis.

Examples

Inputs

Name Description
x1 Specifies a vector or matrix you want to plot.
y1 Specifies a vector or matrix you want to plot.
x2 Specifies a vector or matrix you want to plot.
y2 Specifies a vector or matrix you want to plot.
type Specifies a valid plot type. type is a string that accepts the following values.

'bar' Generates a bar plot.
'loglog' Generates a double-logarithmic plot.
'plot' (default) Generates a standard plot.
'semilogx' Generates a plot with a logarithmic x-scale.
'semilogy' Generates a plot with a logarithmic y-scale.
'stem' Generates a stem plot.
type1 Specifies a valid plot type for x1 and y1. type1 accepts the same values as the type input.
type2 Specifies a valid plot type for x2 and y2. type2 accepts the same values as the type input.

Outputs

Name Description
obj1 Returns the reference to the plot area that LabVIEW draws. obj1 is a reference to a plot area.
obj2 Returns the reference to the line with the left y-axis. obj2 is a reference to a line object.
obj3 Returns the reference to the line with the right y-axis. obj3 is a reference to a line object.
